Green Sea Turtle - Nesting Sites

The State of the World's Sea Turtles (SWOT) team is devoted to leveraging the people-power necessary for sea turtle conservation to succeed. SWOT is a partnership among Oceanic Society, the IUCN Marine Turtle Specialist Group (MTSG), Duke University's OBIS-SEAMAP, Wider Caribbean Sea Turtle Conservation Network (WIDECAST), and an ever-growing international team of local organizations, scientists, and conservationists. From its comprehensive database of seven sea turtles species, the nesting sites of six species, (green sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, Kemp's Ridley sea turtles, leatherback sea turtles, loggerhead sea turtles) for the Gulf of Mexico only are presented in this map.
